In the painting, we see a skull facing a bright source of light that appears to be coming through an opening in a dark wall. The skull is positioned on the right side of the composition, with the bright light on the left. The light disperses and blends with shades of yellow, orange, and white, creating an almost surreal and ethereal effect.
